Research Questions:

Research Questions: While formulating a research question, the following process is tenable: Pose a question Begin   with how,'what or why Question form   How can Computer Assisted Learning (CAI,) foster better student learning?   Relationship form   What psycho-social factors relate to cognitive development of researchers?   Comparison   What is the comparative effect of inductive and deductive methods of teaching on the achievement of 8Ih grade researchers in mathematics? Suggestions for Formulating Research Questions Research questions must explain the relationship among variables. Research questions should not be vague Specific problem to be solved must be indicated Research questions should be researchable and feasible. It must not involve any philosophcal issue The following few examples will illustrate all the above characteristics of research question.   How does home work influence the problem solving b...

Hypothesis

Hypothesis Introduction: Hypothesis is usually considered as an important mechanism in Research. Hypothesis is a tentative assumption made in order to test its logical or empirical consequences. It is a presumptive statement of a proposition or a reasonable guess, based upon the available evidence, which the researcher seeks to prove through his study. It may prove to be correct or incorrect. Definition: “A hypothesis can be defined as a tentative explanation of the research problem, a possible outcome of the research, or an educated guess about the research outcome.” Nature of Hypothesis: The hypothesis is a clear statement of what is intended to be investigated. It should be specified before research is conducted and openly stated in reporting the results. Identify the research objectives. Identify the key abstract concepts involved in the research. Identify its relationship to both the problem statement and the literature review. A problem cannot be scientif...

Research Problem

Research Problem     Social problems : All research problems are driven by social problems. Problem solving aptitude is a natural quality given by the nature to all for their survival on this earth. But human being is the only creature blessed on this earth with vision, imagination, creativity and innovation. These attributes of man makes him enable to change the things surrounding him according to his wish. If man feels anything problematic only then he thinks to change them. Various research methods are used to resolve any problematic stage. Research problem :   Selection of research problem is the first step in every research. No research can undergo by the researcher, unless this first step is properly and scientifically accomplished by the researcher. Usually, it is observed that academic research work undertaken by the students or research scholars are selected on certain parameters i.e., novelty of topic, suitability of topic, convenience in data coll...

Data Processing and analysis

Data Processing MEANING OF DATA ANALYSIS   In any research, the step of analysis of the data is one of the most crucial tasks requiring proficient knowledge to handle the data collected as per the pre decided research design of the project. The analysis is a process which enters into research in one form or another form of the data.   Whether it is a qualitative or quantitative research even if the data is sufficient and valid, it will not serve any purpose unless it is carefully processed and scientifically analyzed and interpreted. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DATA ANALYSIS, PROCESSING AND INTERPRETATION   The general understanding is that data analysis and processing are one and the same . However a number of researchers and authors are of the opinion that both of them are two very distinct steps in the research process where data processing leads to data analysis. Lets us understand the difference between the two in more detail. Data Processing   Once t...
